SMITHSONIAN EXHIBIT—HOMETOWN TEAMS
GOOD GAME Y’ALL! ENGAGING ART PROJECT
Carrollton City Schools and the Cultural Arts Division of CPRCAD in cooperation with Georgia Humanities Council will host a Smithsonian traveling exhibition that celebrates sports in American communities. The exhibit will be here November 19, 2016. While it is a full year away, a variety of activities are already underway. We plan to have an engaging art exhibit that will involve the collection of sporting tickets to any event you might attend (in or out of Carrollton). We would love for you to drop off your tickets at the Art Center when you are through with them. And do write a note on them. Suggestions are: “The Trojans won 17 to nothing!” “I enjoyed this game with my Dad!” “This stadium had great popcorn.” “I saw Muhammad Ali in the stands.” We just need a short note about your experience. The tickets will be used to create a unique piece of art with artist Deborah Landry. Drop off your used tickets at the reception desk or at the Art Center Box Office. 770-838-1083.
