Carroll County Community Theatre presents the drama Dracula. Based on Bram Stoker's classic 1897 novel and adapted by Steven Dietz, this play offers a full-blooded portrait of the immortal Transylvanian vampire and his horrified real estate agent, Jonathan Harker. Directed by Michelle Rougier. Dracula will be presented at the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center on September 30-October 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets $10. Auditions for Carroll County Community Theatre'sThe Velveteen Rabbit, based on the book by Margery Williams. Adapted by Anita Larsen. Music and Lyrics by Bill Francoeur. Auditions dates are Tuesday, September 14 and Thursday, September, 16 at 7:00 pm in the Choral Rehearsal Room. (Parts available for 18 Men and Women, ages 16 and up). Like a favorite stuffed animal from childhood, this delightful musical will touch your heart and remain forever in your sweet memories. With a Victorian flavor, this fun and heart-warming musical creatively captures the magic of the original story about a stuffed animal made real by a child's love. The delightful "Alone in the Dark," the spirited "Nursery Magic" and the adorable wild rabbit march, "Hi, Ho, We Love to Hop," will make you feel as warm and fuzzy as the velveteen rabbit himself. Carroll County Community Theatre will hold auditions for the musical Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl. About the play: Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to fine an heir, comes to life in a scrumdidilyumptious world. Take a ride into a land of pure imagination. Parts available for ages eight to adult. Auditions dates are Monday, January 3 and Tuesday January 4 at 6:00 pm in the Theatre Rehearsal Room.
